||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Eagles could not have asked for more from MLB Jeremiah Trotter. The Ax-Man was all over the place leading the team with 11 tackles and doing a fine job against explosive RB Cadillac Williams. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| RG Shaun Andrews was a big reason why Donovan McNabb was able to get some of those large rushes and why Westbrook had such a big game. Andrews has been compared to former Dallas guard Larry Allena and his play continues to impress each week. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| RB Brian Westbrook shook off some disappointing recent games and had himself a good one passing 100 yards receiving and rushing. Westbrook was the main reason the Eagles were able to get back in this one and did a fine job all afternoon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This was so hard to say, but QB Donovan McNabb lost the game for the Eagles. His uncharacteristic 3 INT day as well as that bad decision to throw to LJ Smith at the end of the 2nd ultimately cost the Eagles the game. Despite that, McNabb's day wasn't bad, but it was far from good. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| For a guy looking to make an impression on the coaches and teammates, WR Jason Avant did not do a good job with that today. On his first catch, Avant fumbled the ball and set the tone for what was to be a long and frustrating day for the Eagles. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| DE Jerome McDougle made a king sized blunder in week 7. After his questionable facemask penalty, McDougle lost his cool and gave the Tampa Bay offense another 15 yards. That is the most we've seen out of him all year and unfortunately it was something that Eagles fans would like to forget. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Honorable Mention | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Studs | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| With a receiving corps trying to make do without Donte Stallworth, WR Reggie Brown has consistantly stepped up. Brown has made the hard catches and the clutch catches to help McNabb out considerably. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The defensive line looked a little uncomfortable today, but that didn't stop DE Trent Cole. Even though Cole had no sacks, he did get in QB Gradkowski's face a few times and was the only defensive lineman who came to play in this one. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| FB Thomas Tapeh has done an admirable job at the FB position. His TD today was important in giving the Eagles momentum and he has also done a good job picking up blocks. Tapeh has shown great resiliency since his hip injury last year. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Duds | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| DE Darren Howard gets paid the big bucks to generate havok for opposing QBs. Howard has done that, but not consistently. Howard needs to get the kind of rush he had in the Dallas game every game for this defense to be effective. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A concern with WR Greg Lewis is his ability to protect the ball is he is unable to catch it. The first few weeks that never came up, but it came up today. Lewis' failure to notice Ronde Barber lead to a interception for a TD. Lewis has got to improve this part of his game. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Okay so WR Donte Stallworth didn't play today. At least one part of the Eagles has been consistant: we can count on Stallworth being hurt. He has a knack for getting the injury bug but this has been absolutely ridiculous for the Eagles. Donte Stallworth needs to get healthy and get healthy soon so the Eagles have a more surehanded receiver and don't have to keep counting on Lewis and Avant all the time. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
