| Second team DE Trent Cole picked up where he left off last season and registered two sacks on Texans QB David Carr. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| QB Donovan McNabb, despite a shaky start caught fire later in the game throwing for 3 TDs and 314 yards without getting sacked and even brought back his running game | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| WR Donte' Stallworth quickly demonstrated how he can be a vital tool in this Eagles offense by racking up 141 yards receiving as well as his first TD in Eagles green. The Texans had a tough time with #18 all day. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| RB Brian Westbrook showed his offensive prowless both on the ground and through the air as he put aside any lingering doubts about his health for the 2006 season in what was a big game for him. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| SS Michael Lewis had himself a bit of a rough afternoon. After being blown away on a touchdown by Houston's Eric Moulds, Lewis was then flagged for two pass interference calls (one was questionable). | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| KR Bruce Perry looked less than stellar on the kick offs. The positives are that he didn't fumble and looked comfortable. The negatives for him on Sunday were that he wasn't quick enough or aggressive enough in searching for a seam to run through. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Honorable Mention | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Studs | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| DE Jevon Kearse had himself a pretty good game, registering a sack as well as being able to get in David Carr's face a few times. The addition of Darren Howard at RE is definately paying dividends for The Freak. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| FB Thomas Tapeh on the surface did not do much. On the replays though, Tapeh was shown making several great blocks all day to help open up both the running game and the play action. Tapeh will be very important in weeks to come. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| LB Matt McCoy showed some of the aggressiveness and defensive vision that Jim Johnson and Andy Reid were so excited about when he registered eight tackles on the day. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| Duds | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| CB Sheldon Brown is going to have to improve his coverage in the future. A vital part of the Eagles defense this year has to be preventing the big play and Sheldon had rather poor coverage on what would end up as a Texans FG. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
