-Former Eagles owner Leonard Tose and former TE Ken Hill started the "Eagles Fly for Leukemia" charity while Hill's wife, Kim battled the disease. Tose held charity fundraising dinners, the players gave contributions, and to this date have raised over $10 million for childhood diseases and Leukemia research.
-Tose and the Eagles also led to the world's first Ronald McDonald house for families to find shelter when their children are sick. Today, there are over 200 Ronald McDonald houses that house thousands of familes.
