| Studs | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Eagles SS Michael Lewis (yes folks, that Michael Lewis) has had a rollercoaster year, but without Michael Lewis the Eagles do not win this game. Lewis had a great 84 yard interception for a touchdown and also registered 4 tackles on the day. This is the kind of player the Birds expect #32 to be. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Another game and another solid effort by LB Omar Gaither. Gaither has done a fantastic job replacing the injured Matt McCoy making plays and making tackles. He was the one linebacker who actually showed up today. He also registered his first career interception, which led to 6 points. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Statistically, QB Jeff Garcia had an average day, but leadership wise this man did yet another fantastic job. Garcia still hasn't thrown an interception since taking over for McNabb, and has the Eagles rallying around him. Garcia threw 2 TDs and avoided would-be tacklers with his mobility. Great job by #7. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Saying FS Brian Dawkins is clutch would be an understatement. Whenever the Eagles needed a play on defense, Weapon X was there to bat the ball away or sack the QB to save the day. It is no wonder Brian Dawkins is so beloved in Philadelphia with his gritty, hard-nosed play. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Duds | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 210 yards. That's how many yards rushing MLB Jeremiah Trotter and the Eagles defense gave up and in our opinion that lies in the lap of the Ax-man. Trotter just doesn't seem to have that same explosiveness he used to, and it's really a mystery. Either way, the Eagles cannot stop the run and Trotter has a lot to do with that. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| CB Sheldon Brown did not play a horrible game, however he made a few mistakes that led to points in a game that the Eagles could have very well lost. Brown's a good player who needs to study game film when he faces Plaxico Burress next week in New York. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

||||||||||||||||||||||||
| When is LB Dhani Jones going to wake up and be able to make a tackle or make a play? Dhani is a veteran and he's being outplayed by rookie Omar Gaither. Dhani may not be an Eagle in the future. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Honorable Mention | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Studs | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Thanks to the 50+ yard punts by P Dirk Johnson, the Eagles were able to play their bend but don't break style of defense and win the battle of field position throughout the game. Though sometimes unreliable, Dirk was fantastic in this game. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| RB Brian Westbrook was named by Ron Jaworski as a fantasy stud this week. Well, Westbrook didn't do much, but he did make good plays when he needed to when the Birds were running out the clock. Yet another fine game by Brian Westbrook. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Ignore the hands to the face penalty and DE Jaqua Thomas had himself a pretty good game. Thomas had the only Eagles sack of the game and was able to assist as much as possible with the running game. This is something the other Eagles defensive line players cannot say. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Duds | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Almost the entire game, CB William James was being picked on during pass plays. James was playing soft, non physical coverage with the exception of his one play where he helped Lewis get the interception. Whether it's Rod Hood or William James, the nickelback needs to improve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| All that money and DE Darren Howard never seems to do a single thing on the field. With the exception of the Dallas game, Howard has been a disappointment. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| KR/PR Reno Mahe is usually dependable, and he was in this game. However that one stupid play he made where he tried to field the ball on a bounce with a defender coming at him was a horrible mistake that luckily did not end up costing the Eagles. Mahe's got to be smarter in his decision making. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Darren Howard has the Dallas game to be proud of. That said, what does TE Matt Schobel have to be proud of? Schobel had one catch for one yard today. Well that was money well spent. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
