-Eagles announcer Merrill Reese once entered a radio contest where fans were supposed to call in and imitate him. Under the alias Bob, Reese actually lost the contest!
-Former Eagles WR Mike Quick's 99 yard TD pass from Ron Jaworski is an NFL record.
-Three of the numbers retired by the Eagles are: Jerome Brown's 99, Reggie White's 92, and Chuck Bednarik's 60.
-Former Eagles LB Bill Bergey's son plays lacrosse for the Philadelphia Wings.

-Former Eagles head coach Earl "Greasy" Neale was more than just a football coach. Prior to his coaching days with the Birds Neale played baseball for the Cincinnati Reds. Neale batted .357 in the infamous 1919 "black sox" scandal World Series.

-In his first year as head coach, former Redskins coach Steve Spurrier sparked an outrage amongst the Redskins faithful when he let QBs Danny Weurffel and Shane Matthews wear the numbers 7 and 9, the unofficially retired numbers of Redskins greats Joe Theismann and Sonny Jurgensen. The two QBs would switch to the numbers 17 and 6.
-Officially, the Redskins have only retired one number, 33. Which was worn by QB Sammy Baugh from 1937-52.

-Former Redskins great QB Sonny Jurgensen was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, however the Redskins would pull off a trade to bring him to Washington. The move is regarded as one of the best moves in NFL history (from the persepective of Redskins fans).
