-Former Carolina Panthers player Bill Goldberg is known by Panthers fans as the first player cut by their team in 1995. However, after being cut Golberg achieved fame as a professional wrestler known simply as "Goldberg"
-K John Kasay is the only Panther that remains from the 1995 inaugeral season.
-In 2001 the Panthers set a record for the worst ending to a season in NFL history. After winning their first game, the Panthers went on to lost 15 straight games to finish the season 1-15. Even more frustrating that year was that in 12 of the 15 games, the Panthers had gone into the second half either winning or tied.
-The Panthers fans have their own version of a rally towel called the "Prowl Towel." It is in the team colors (Black and blue).
-The Panthers often play the song "Cat Scratch Fever" by Ted Nugent at their home games.
-In 1996, after one year of existence, the Panthers under their QB, Penn State alum Kerry Collins advanced to the NFC Championship game only to lose to the Packers.

-Lito Sheppard's 2 INT game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 made him the first player in NFL history to have two INT-TDs over 100 yards each.
-Speaking of Lito Sheppard, it is common that whenever Lito does something particularly amazing, the song "Lido Shuffle" by Boz Scaggs is sometimes sung at the Linc.
