The Library
Welcome to the library, where I store all of my precious Phan
Phiction. It is here where you can read what I have worked on and developed
since my obsession began nearly a decade ago. (Luckily for you, I will not
be putting links to the “poetry” I composed back in sixth grade… *shudder*) A
little bit about my phiction… I am always E/C; I have not written a piece yet
featuring any ‘other women’ or whatever. I mean, for story’s sake Erik and
Christine might not always end up together—there’s no guarantee with me—but I
don’t like to bring in uh other characters. It’s fine if you do, but it’s not
my style. Anyway, most of my stories confuse the three main Phantom stories—the
original, the play and the Susan Kay novel. For instance, in one story Nadir
might be present and Erik is wearing the half mask. That stuff is there, but I’m
sure you’ll understand. Well, without any more ado, I’m just going to let you
read them. If you like my work or even if you dislike my work, tell me! My
email is linked at the bottom and I also have a guestbook on the home page.
Comments—good or bad, although not straight slash—are always welcomed and
appreciated.
DISCLAIMER: I
do not, have never and probably will never own The Phantom of the Opera or
any of its characters. Erik, Christine, Raoul and everyone else belong to
Gaston Leroux and Andrew Lloyd Webber (who really shouldn’t own any of them,
but has acquired the rights, so I must give him credit). Nadir belongs to Susan
Kay, along with any obscure references I might have to her novel, Phantom—PHANTOM
ROCKS MY WORLD! I LOVE SUSAN KAY!
Marguerite, Frederick, Nicolas and any one else not in the novels or the
show belong to ME! That’s right, baby!
story, work in progress— Three years later, Christine is torn between reality and a dream, one where she is married to Raoul and the other where she is married to Erik. After all these years, her heart is still confused. Will she decide return to her true life—or wish to stay asleep forever?
story, completed—Basically,
this story cannot have a summary. Just read it and find out. If you have
to know something, know this— None of this would have happened if it weren’t
for that small but venomous sentence in the paper: ‘Erik is dead.’
story, completed-- This is the story that inspired Mademoiselle
Daae is Dead. I wrote this story for a Creative Writing class in school and
thought that the same plot would also work for the characters from Phantom. If
you’ve read Mlle. Daae… then you might recognize some of the same lines
in both texts. Some of the paragraphs, I’ll admit, I merely changed the name
from Nicolas to Raoul or Marguerite to Christine or Frederick to Erik. It was
pretty easy. But I also had to cut out a lot of background information that
this piece deals with. Marguerite and Frederick also make cameos in my other
Phantom stories. I love them, I do! In Reality Issues, they are
Marguerite and Frederick Lenfent, Christine and Raoul’s friends. In that story
I just summarized their story, and changed a few things to make it more compact—Reality
Issues is Christine’s story, but everyone needs a little background
information! Anyway, this is the actual whole nine yards. I really care about
these characters, my very own, and that’s why they tend to pop up in my
phiction as well. Someday I just might want to write a novel on their love
story. Who knows?
poem—The whole sordid affair as told from the perspective of a very important, however unlikely character in the novel. Written about three years ago, when I was in my poetry phase.
poem—Set right before the final performance of Faust, Christine prays for guidance to choose the right path.
