love under will."

alexander edward (aleister) crowley (b.1875 - d.1947)

Alexander Edward (Aleister) Crowley was born on the 12th of October 1875 in Leamington Spa, England, into a family of Plymouth Brethren, a strict Christian sect. During his 72 years on this Earth, he managed to indelibly imprint himself on the Western Magickal Tradition - to many he was the Western Magickal Tradition.

Crowley's ideas and imagery have influenced bands from every generation. The most obvious are
Black Sabbath
, Led Zeppelin
King Crimson
, Toyah, Throbbing Gristle,
Killing Joke
and Sex Gang Children.

Poet. Author. Magickian. Yogi. Philosopher. Crowley's output was prolific and his life hedonistic. His legacy still attracts many new converts and he commands considerable loyalty even from beyond the grave.

"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."
