To the left is the Temple of Athena at Paestum, an ancient Greek colony about 80 Km south of Pompeii. I had gone there with Jodi and Erica because I wanted to see the Temple of Neptune, but it was scafolded for cleaning. I was a little disappointed. |

To the right is Oplontis, the villa of Nero's wife. This was near Pompeii in the modern city of Torre Annunziata. The villa was to big to get into one picture, so this is only part of it. There were some really good frescoes inside. |

This is one of the pools at Hadrian's Villa outside of Tivoli. It has an official name, but I'm going to have to look it up because I forgot what it was. It represents the Nile river in Egypt. This photo only shows part of the pool. It was too big to get all of it, and still see the statues at the end. What is more amazing, is that the land surrounding the pool, was under a roof! |
