| To the left is the amphitheater at Pompeii. The stadium was built to house gladitorial fights much like the Coloseum in Rome. It originally held around 20,000 people. These photos were taken using the panoramic setting on my camera, but still I was not able to get even half of the interior into one shot. The grassy area on the interior is an unfinished area, no seats were ever placed there. |
