Heading in the direction of the local tavern, he could feel the beast that was part of him rising up, eager to kill. He stifled it down, not wanting to burst through a door in werewolf form unless it was absolutely necessary. When he reached the tavern, he heard the voices of several bloodsuckers coming from inside the small buildings walls.

There were five vampires in the establishment, keeping a large group of terrified patrons in the corner. Only an hour before, the tavern had been full of customers looking to relax after a long days toil with a mug of ale. Then the living dead had showed up, entering the tavern easily due to it being a public place and not a private residence. They had killed seven people already and were now working on the rest of the group.
An attractive woman in her thirties watched in horror as the lifeless body of her husband was tossed unceremoniously to the floor without a second thought. The vamps now turned their loathsome gaze toward her, snickering evilly, mocking her anguish. They moved toward her slowly, taking their time.
She was still bringing her arm slowly down after raising it in a futile attempt to protect her husband. She had tried to touch him during his death throes. Now he was gone forever. Murdered by the things now stalking her. Her head lowered, tears falling from her eyes, she stood up. If she was going to die, then she wanted it to be over as quickly as possible.
A male vampire, the groups leader, fixed his gaze on her.
Oh, Im sorry, the vampire taunted, was he yours?
My husband, she replied, tearing up.
Would you like to be with him? the corpse asked in fake sympathy.
Aye, she replied, gazing at the creature with contempt.
The vampire stepped up to her as she straightened in defiance.
Grabbing her arms, the creature added,  And so you shall.
It lowered its head toward her neck.
Stopping suddenly, he caressed her cheek.
Youre never going to see your husband again. You will be mine
Once again he lowered his mouth to her neck.
Is this a private gathering, or can anybody join? a voice asked behind them. Whirling , their yellow glowing eyes caught sight of a young man standing in the doorway of the tavern, his arms folded while he rested against the frame. There was something about him. Something powerful.
Who the hell are you? one of the vampires asked.
His attention now focused on the man in the doorway, the underling leader released the woman, his victim now forgotten.
Turning to the leader, a female vamp remarked, He has power. What is he?
Before he could answer, the man replied, Who I am is not important. What is important however, is that you leave these good people alone and go home before I get angry.
And what if we dont? the leader challenged.
The man simply smiled, his eyes revealing a flashing glow of bright red color followed by a deep,  threatening growl. He made his way toward them, saying, Too late.
The leader threw a punch which was caught easily by the man who proceeded to slowly crush the vampires hand. In seconds, he was on his knees, shrieking in agony. Releasing his hand, Stytentos lifted him to his feet then slammed a fist into the side of the leaders jaw, sending him flying over the bar. The vampires body crashed into a display shelf that contained bottles of various liquors, sending its contents in every direction, spattering it against the wall.
Not letting up for even an instant, Stytentos grabbed the vampire closest to him, snapping his neck, then ripping the head free from the body. The startled creatures of the night began backing away hissing and growling in hate and fear. They had no idea who this guy was but he was definitely a threat.                        What are you? one of the things shrieked, An angel?
They must be new additions to the vampire ranks.
Hardly anything that divine. Im a werewolf.
Their jaws dropped as the leader rose from behind the bar.
Werewolves were all but extinct. The few that did exist were supposed to be evil.     So why was one attacking them?
The leader rose from behind the bar slowly, rubbing his crushed hand.
                        He cackled at Stytentos.
