Petaling Hash UK (PHUK)
Welcome to Petaling Hash in UK............. . . . . . . !!

PHUK Run 19 - Nick Mason's Memorial Run (25 July 2009) Update

A big 'Thank You' to Michelle Mason for hosting the run.  Special thanks to John McCawley for helping to set the run and showing us 'Winnie the Pooh' Country that Nick may have wanted us to see when he volunteered to set the run before illness prevented him.  Monty did a great job of educating the adult hashers who had forgotten their childhood memories of Christopher Robin's friends, where they roamed, and where they had fun.  It was great to see such a big turn out for the run, and a big welcome to those who came all the way from Malaysia (the Kirkmans and the Murrays) and India (the Butterfields).

We welcome back Larry Chan who we have missed, but it was great to find that he had been busy.  Welcome to our  youngest Junior PHUKer (Isabella) who was only 2 weeks old, and her mum Rebecca.  We hope to see more of them in future.

Thanks also to Martino who organised the production of the PHUK fleece jackets for members who have completed five runs.

For those of you who missed the run and wish to see who was there, you can check out the pictures here and / or read Mike's scribe report.  Thanks Mike for scribing and the quick response.

BTW, I have also set up a PHUK presence on Facebook for those who are interested - Sim PHUK ([email protected])
