More About Polly
Hello, I'm Polly. I am 34 years old. We have two daughters now but have always wanted to have a large family. I did not grow up in one but they have always appealed to me. I grew up with an older sister and brother. Due to my own biological monther's mental/emotional illness the three of us had a chaotic childhood to say the least. We eventually lived with out adoptive father and step-mother.The lack of close extended family ties kept our family small. I often marveld at my husbands larger extended family. Today I enjoy that big family and close personal friends as my own. I can't wait to have many more children and eventually lots of grandchildren (fingers crossed)!

Practicing Injections with Classmates During Paramedic School
I work as a paramedic with the fire department. This means that I work an unconventional schedule. I work 24 hour shifts but only 10 days a month. Upside? That means I am off 20 DAYS per MONTH instead of most people's 8 days. Downside? This also means that because Scott also works we will be using daycare partime. There are only 8 days a month that Scott and I are both working. Our employers are both very supportive of family which allows us to deal with the occasional need for leave with little to no notice that comes up when you have children. Of course there is always the perk that kids love to come visit the fire station too!
Some tidbits about me: I can't water ski but love to get water logged trying! Then I switch to tubing to redeem myself and boost my tattered ego. I like to fish but only if I am actually catching fish. I enjoying bowling with Scott and family. I hope to talk him and Toni into a recreational volleyball league one of these days. We loved attending Toni's school activities. Now that she is begining college, we look forward to watching her blossom as a young adult.
My thoughts on our adoption plans: I hope we are able to adopt a sibling group soon. I would like our family comlete before I am very much older. Well, it's a goal anyway! I guess all adoptive families start with a goal in mind. For now, we hope to find a sibling group of school aged children I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!
