(Day 13, Halibut Fishing)
On very short notice, Mark managed to get reservations
with his friend Reubin for Crystal and Greg to go out halibut fishing.
We all drove to Ninilchik early in the morning to meet Reubin near the
beach. Reubin had about a 28 foot skiff that he lauched from the
beach.
From what I heard, Crystal caught 14 halibut, one 43 pounds!
That would be the large one on the right.
Greg caught 2 skates that were about 100 lbs. each.
I guess he strained himself because he was in to condition to fish the
following day. Here is another picture of their catch.
We had halibut cheeks for dinner.
