Our Mission
Founded in April 1992 by Dennis Hill and Doris and Bob Fox, the
Bloomington chapter of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays
is one of more than 500 PFLAG affiliates in the United States and several other countries.
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and
transgendered persons through: SUPPORT, to cope with an adverse society;
EDUCATION, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and ADVOCACY, to end
discrimination and secure civil rights. PFLAG provides an opportunity for
dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create
a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
PFLAG meetings are a safe haven where judgment is reserved and
confidentiality is respected. GLBT people, their families and friends,
share experience and offer support.
Meeting Schedule
We meet four times each year.
