| I finally made it to the forest! And it was worth every mile of the 100 mile drive. The weather was glorious. I took my mat, my book, a snack and my camera. I found a secluded spot about 10 miles from Astoria (thats the northerwesternnmost point in oregon - by the sea). I spent about 3 hours basking in the sun, reading my book and taking a little nap. Then i drove to Astoria to this fabulous seafood restaurant overlooking the ocean and splurged on some lobster to die for! Then i took a nice slow drive back. Oh, while at the restaurant, i saw a dead baby orca (killer whale, just like in Free willy) that had washed ashore. I saw sea lions too. I was able to destress and clear my head of all the cobwebs. Its a very magical place that i'd like to share with someone special. The weather is going to be even better tomorrow. Maybe i'll go to the zoo. COMMENT |
