Ar yar melmelyo alkainen nutil,
Ai lye haira, alkalyar palúrenna ear,
Ai lye tára, talulyat cemende ear.

Kaunis olet sinä noustessasi taivaanrannasta,
Sinä elävä Aton, elävistä ensimmäinen!
Noustessasi idän taivaalle
Täytät jokaisen maan ihanuudellasi,
Sillä kaunis olet, suuri ja hehkuva, korkealla maan yllä.
Säteesi syleilevät kaikkia maita, jotka olet luonut

Beautiful art thou as thou risest from beyond the mountains,
Thou living Aten, first living!
When thou risest upon the sky of east
Thou fillest every land with thy brilliance,
For thou art fair, great and fiery, high above the Earth.
Thy rays embrace all lands which thou hast created
And which thou bindest with the rays of thy love,
Enen if thou art distant, thy rays art upon the bosom of Earth,
Even if thou art lofty, thy feet are in the soil.
