YFC The "Altarnatives" started as the result of a Discipleship programme conducted by Chennai Youth For Christ in October 1995. They call themselves the "ALTARNATIVES" as they have committed themselves to Christ (Natives of the Altar).
Third Day Mac Powell and Mark Lee started Third Day at the end of their senior years at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia. Both Mark and Mac wanted to be part of a band that played songs about their faith in God.
Bride Bride's ministry is more focused and aggressive. Bride's message goes out to anyone who will listen, but has been specifically targeted to reach the "misfits" of society. Dale says "If it wasn't for Jesus Christ, we wouldn't be playing music. He is the music. He is why we play".
Sixpence None The Richer Named after a passage in C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, the Austin, Texas based group, Sixpence None the Richer was formed in 1989 when Matt was only 16 and Leigh, 13. Sixpence None the Richer recieved a 1999 Grammy nomination for Best Rock Gospel.
JarsOfClay Jars of Clay get their name from 2 Corinthians 4:7. Their songs are heartcries to God for his complete love for us and his power and awesomeness.
