My defination of reality: Everybody has their own idea of whats true, whats real, and whats make-believe, all of this is based on a persons preception. Perception is basically how you "see" things, like the saying "one mans trash is another mans treasure" therefore there is no universal truth. If I eat a steak in my reality I am just eating dinner, while a vegetarian may see me as a murderer, who'se correct is up to personal interpretation. Another example would be a bank robbery in broad daylight with numerous witnesses, when the police ask the witnesses for a description of the robbers they each give a different hair lengths, eye colours, heights, even the number of suspects involved, to each of the witnesses in their own reality they are correct, however, nobody is to say who is "really" correct and who isnt. So there can be no universal truth and debate is virtually pointless unless you can actually "prove" sumthing beyond sumone's personal interpretation, which can prove to be a very difficult task. |
