MATKOVIC CART RUMOURS ESCALATE |
|
2003 Minardi F1 driver
Derek Matkovic is set to switch to the ailing CART Championship in 2004 with
confirmation that he will be a guest of the Players/Forsythe team at this
weekend's Lexmark Indy 300 to be contested at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast
in Australia. The 24 year old whom made his debut in F1 at the start of the
season is still hoping to remain in F1 in 2004 but with only the Jordan and
Minardi teams yet to confirm their 2004 driver line-ups there is a possibility
that Matkovic may not have a budget big enough to bring to the fledging back of
the field teams.
