The last hike we made in the Rim National Park was to South beach which is a pebble beach. For us who are used to sand beaches, it was quite amazing experience. But is't not really a beach for bare feet, trust me on that one.
One of the highlights of the trip was the Inside Passage cruise. It is an amazing boat trip from Port Hardy on Vancouver Island to Prince Rupert on the main land. It is about 15 hours of nature like it was about 100 years ago. Houses are rare, trains, and roads are non-existing. We had some hours of fog, but mainly we were out on deck and saw for instance; Humpback whales, dolphins and so much nature. All those little islands you see. There are no words to describe it.
After a day of rest in Prince Rupert we went to Hazelton by Greyhound bus.
Hazelton is in fact 2 towns...Old Hazelton straight out of the time of the river boats. A beautiful old little town that went asleep when the train came to New Hazelton.
We had a roundtour through Old Hazelton and it's a great way to see how much impact such "new"  history can have. It makes you think about what kind of history we are making ourselves.
This is the third bridge over the Skeena river and it's nature as far as you can see.
The Skeena river still has rich fishing grounds.
