| I was born in 1966...(so I'm actually closer to twenty than Peter is)...at Ft. Lewis, Washington. I can honestly say I was born and pretty much raised in Washington. With two exceptions: summers spent working with my cousin in California as a teenager, and a year or so that we lived in Missouri when I was three/four years old. I have been married for over ten years now to my wonderful husband Michael Burress. We have two children; Christina and Alexander. As a family we enjoy hockey, camping, hiking, and working around our yard. I have many hobbies that I pursue (as my whims dictate among them): I bead, sew, quilt, craft, read, and garden. I have been active in Girl Scouts for the past five years a troop leader. I have a deep and abiding interest in geneology. That was sparked when I was a child. I have collected bits and pieces of my family's history from everyone else for the past twenty years and now am getting it all together. I enjoy the thrill of the hunt when it comes to finding and connecting names or real people (in some cases) together. Besides researching my Garbett ancestors (my grandmother was Anona Garbett) I spend time researching several other of my family lines: Cook, Smith, Whittingham, Sewell, McDaniel and will be starting on my husband's side very soon. |
