Inheritance Model
The
subsequent breeding of the first “Russian hair Loosing”
Varya with a normal coated male. . .
Or
any other PD cats with the “hair loos gene” that
have been breedind with European Shorthair, Oriental, Siamese,
Bengals, Siberian and Persian gave always a similarly appearing
offspring expretion
½
normally coated cats
¼
rexed
¼
partially hairless kittens approximately 1/2 of the time
When
these cats heterozygous for the RUSSIAN HAIR LOOS gene were
bred to one another similar, it was discovered that kitten coat
pattern distribution varied differently from above as approximately
¼
were normally coated,
½
were rexed and partially hairless
¼
were extremely hairless.
We
have gained some data in the 2 first years of breeding PD cats.
We
have breeding the heterozygous PD to normal coated cats and
with other heterozygous PD too. We have took same dates from
these:
Peterbald
heterozigota pelo cepillo, con un Oriental
HL-hl x hl-hl
15%
parcialmente pelados
15%
pelo del alambre o rexed
70%
de pelo o manto normal
Peterbald
heterozigota parcialmente pelado con un Oriental
HL-hl x hl-hl
25%
pelados
25%
pelo del alambre o rexed
50%
de pelo o manto normal
Peterbald
heterozigota extremadamente pelado con un Oriental
HL-hl x hl-hl
50
% gatitos normalmente cubiertos
50
% rexed , gatitos parcialmente pelados hasta algun gatito sumamente
pelado.
Excepcionalmente,
también puede producir gatos extremadamente pelados
Peterbald
heterozigota sumamente pelado con otro Peterbald heterocigota
HL-hl x HL-hl
25%
sumamente pelados
50%
rexed y gatitos parcialmente pelados
25%
gatitos de manto normal.
Peterbald
heterozigota con otro similar:
HL-hl x HL-hl
25%
extremadamente calvos.
25%
rexed y – o parcialmente calvos
50%
con manto normal
Peterbald
Hl-hl x hl-hl
100%
de manto normal y nunca produce gatos calvos.
We
were well noted that there was not a better type in the hairloos
kittens and in same cases there was a high incidence of hidden
morbid recessive traits and a relatively high expression metabolics
problem like tyrodism, calcio asimilation, or cosmetics faults
like the eyelid disorders (e.g. drooping, extropion). In my
own opinion that this is the result of the close and poor genepool
from the heavy inbreeding and without eliciting reccesive traits.
Is inevitably seen when performing such selective inbreedings
in any new breed.
With
the data shown above we beleave that the pattern of hairloos
inheritance follows an additive dominant mode with a variable
level of penetration in the heterozygous state but the mayor
problem was the not clear pattern in the hairloos distribution
and the present hair kind, quantity, quality, etc …..
By
this reasson, we have made a new breeding program with many
objetives for diferents things. This Selective Breeding was
and is very diferent from the rest of the breders.
Dense
vs sparce:
Peterbald
heterozigota pelaje denso
90% pelaje denso
10%
pelaje semi denso
Peterbald heterozigota pelaje no denso o esparcido
90% pelaje no denso
10%
pelaje semi denso
Responde
a poligenes aditivos.
Hairloosing
pattern
Montura
– panza - extremities (cola, patas y cara)
Extremities
cola, patas y cara
Patas
y cara
Todo
el cuerpo
Responden
a poligenes aditivos recesivos.
Our
new breeding program consist in isolate the diferents kinds
of pattern and observe their diferent heritage way.
We
have try to fixed the more extreme hairloos patern with the
more extreme type.
