Here are links to certain web sites having to do with various Catholic things. Since groups and sites that in some way oppose the Faith or pretend to know better than 2,000 years of Catholicism are by definition not Catholic, I only frequent sites faithful to the Church. They provide quite a treasure of information and Catholic culture. This company exists to explain, defend, and provide truly Catholic answers to questions about the Catholic Church and the Catholic Faith. Got a question about anything Catholic? Believe me, they've got the answer. Just what it sounds like, the Catholic News Service provides current news about different things going on with the Church. This site is... interesting in that it's definitely an amateur site maintained by some very vigilant folks! Priding itself on presenting "a perspective on the news no one dares discuss," Great Spiritual Battle.com discusses current events and various religious topics from the attitude that things just don't happen in the world; that there is in fact a battle going on for our souls at a level at which most people aren't even aware. See what you think. This is the web site of the magazine of the same name. The Latin Mass calls itself "a journal of Catholic culture" that exists to make known "the treasures of Catholicism as an antedote to an accelerating secularism, and disseminating the fullness of Catholic culture through a variety of disciplines." In other words, it seeks to preserve the richness of the Catholic Church's culture, which is daily threatened by the culture around us. I've received a few free issues now and then, and I must say it's pretty interesting. The site contains numerous articles. A unique site! Savior.org's mission is to "increase awareness and devotion to our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament," and "to bring the live image of His Living Presence to the homebound, the workplace, and to remote areas around the world." It features a live web-cam image of the Blessed Sacrament in an adoration chapel, as well as other devotional material. A favorite of my mom's. Kind of like Great Spiritual Battle.com, minus the siege mentality. Maintained by Michael H. Brown, author of several books about apparitions of Mary and various prophetic messages, Spirit Daily mostly provides links to different other stories of both religious and general interest. Additionally, he often writes an article or two about some item of Catholic spiritual concern. It would be good to bookmark this one. |
