"The portfolio career [is]... practising the scholarship of common sense" said Johnson Edwards in 2005. I think he had it about right. By having a number of different oars in the water (as it were), it is possible to work with many different people & organisations and so keep a fresh approach to each new challenge.
Although the various parts of my portfolio may appear unconnected, I believe that the same level of planning and attention to detail is required in everything that I do, whether it is a photoshoot, designing a database or helping an organisation simply existing.
I enjoy each part of my portfolio career equally - and particularly enjoy the opportunity to move away from my normal working day to be involved with new people and new projects.
