Chicago Craig's Cubs On paper, the most loaded team in APBA history. GM Morois did an admirable job this offseason, bringing in Chris Carpenter, Morgan Ensberg, Jason Bay and Jorge Sosa by only giving up the big names of Sexson, Ramirez, Matsui and Soriano. Four A Starters and a Fielding 1 infield will make this team tough to beat. The only thing between the Craig's Cubs and the World Series is that damn billy goat.

Philadelphia Wallbangers
Nobody expected the Wallbangers to contend  after losing Barry Bonds and Frank Thomas for the season. However, they still have the offense to put up runs and two A starters plus closer D. Turnbow will make this team tough to beat, especially in the playoffs in a 3-starter format. They look to regain control of the  North Division.

Teams ranked 3-6 are virtually identical: same amount of hitting with identical pitching; all have B starters. GM Kmiecik had a suprisingly quiet offseason. Don't be suprised if he makes some mid-season moves. Yankees are ranked 3rd because you can't count them out come playoff time, never falling short of the World Series. They have another solid shot at the playoffs but anything can happen come playoff time.

4.
Boston Massacre
The Massacre are getting mixed reviews about the trades GM Rajala made in the offseason. With that said, they are better than they would have been without the trades. Trading an A starter could prove costly though. Should be able to make another run at the South Division crown and playoffs this year.

Milwaukee Maniacs
Fans from Milwaukee and all around the country are still scratching their heads over the Maniacs' 2006 draft.
Drafting a BYZ pitcher in the first round!? The Massacre drafted a BZ pitcher in the 9th round! We know he's won a Cy Young, but they could have gotten a better bat. They still have a great offense, but their draft is forcing us to put them in the 5 spot.

New York Comets The Comets looked dead before the draft, but they raised some eyebrows and had possibly the best draft among all APBA teams. GM Jorgensen retooled all of his positions and they are ready to make another World Series run in 2006. Look for them to sneak into the playoffs with either the 4th or 5th seed again.

7.
Atlanta Stallions
Look for this team to model the 2005 Lengers. They may have decent hitting and an A starter, but in the end they will slow down and fall short of the playoffs. If they're out of it before the trade deadline, look for GM Fochesato to trade the big names and get ready for 2007.

Los Angeles Lengers
Come on Lengas! We're sick of over-hyping you year after year. So this year we're going to under-rate you. DEAD LAST. Lengers have a good hitting team no doubt, but they lack an A pitcher and their defense is terrible. As usual, you can write the Lengers as your sleeper team, but don't look for this team to get out of the South Division's cellar.
