Travel

Well i've been in Peru for the last five months, so theres a bit write about.  I'll start at the beginning give an over view of my travels and drink quite a few cups of coca tea over the next few paragraphs...

I set out for Peru on 17 february.  I was meant to fly to NY then miami and then to Peru.  However as there was a huge snow storm in NY the American Airlines woman suggested that we fly to Boston, where the weather was clearer.  Well Gill (another tapa volounteer) and I set off.  Of course the woman was being incredibly stupid and when the plane skidded to a halt in Boston we were told that there would be no further flights out of Boston.  We wondered around the airport feeling a bit lost and eventualy decided to get a hotel.  So we walked out of the airport to be instantly burried alive by the snow storm.

The taxi drivers were no help, not knowing their arse from their ass, you'd think taxi drivers in every country in the wrold should know their hometown, oh well!  Eventually our shuttle bus arrives and we're rescued from the cold.  We get a room in Comfort inn, we share and it cost 65dollars each, agh!

Boston at first seems pretty grim, but once we get into the centre we realise its a cool city, its got a small very compact centre and all the people are very friendly.  Theres a lot to do, we walk round a large part of Boston, sinking into the huge drifts of snow at very corner.  We went to the Boston Museums, walked around the central park, the modern art museum and went to the original cheers bar, which was quite cool, but expensive.

Eventually we got to leave and flew onto Dallas TX, which is a complete dump, we had to sit in the airport for a few hours, putting up with the heat and the rednecks.
