· Prayerfully consider the VT assignments.  Be practical; consider work and other potential schedule conflicts.
· Train new converts by assigning them effective companions and caring mentors.
· Meet with each VT to assure that she understands that VT is the Gospel in Action.
· As a VT, the sisters in her district are under her stewardship.
· Teach the Visiting Teacher that she should:
Make appointments early in the month.
Visit in the home on a monthly basis.
Be alert to her sister’s needs whether they be:
Physical health
 Emotional health
Spiritual health



TEACH VT BASICS:
1. Help with proper care of home and yard
2. Help with time management
3. Help with gaining financial independence
4. Help with preparedness principles
5. Encouragement for intellectual development
6. Make sure "her" sisters receive the RS newsletter
7. Know when, where and what Homemaking Meeting is and invite each to come.
8. Pass on other useful information
9. Ward Temple night date and time, special Stake RS events, etc.
10. Report to her supervisor when her VT is complete
11. Report to the RS President any need that requires added attention.
12. Pray about/for each of her sisters by name every day and seek the influence of the Holy Ghost.
13. Lovingly ask each VT if she can accept the call and stewardship of the sisters assigned.
14. Be patient and loving!
