Subj: Re: [LDSHomemaking] Homemaking Plans
From: Janice Genessy

For our October Homemaking we are going to frame the family proclamation.

Each sister needs an 11 x 13 frame with an 8 x 10 matting.

I cut up many of our old or double print snapshots and glued them to the matting so that it was solid family pictures all around the matting.  Many of the pictures I just cut the person out like a paper doll and worked it into the overall picture. I had one picture of our daughter who was sitting up on the fireplace hearth with her legs stretched out in front of her, I cut everything out but her and used that picture in a corner spot, it looks like she's sitting  upright along the side with her legs going across the bottom.

It was a good way to use up photos that just were laying in a drawer.  We have our married children and grandchildren in it.  We got 8x10 copies of the proclamation, it worked out really cute.  Our family did this for a family home evening.  Well my homemaking counselor saw it and said she would like to do this for a homemaking.  You could have sisters bring their own frames and matting (mine was included with the frame), their own pictures and sissors. I used glue sticks to glue the pictures to the matting.  They could even bring their own glue, you could get the copies of the proclamation, I think you could even print one off of the internet and make copies if need be.

GOOD LUCK. Sorry I can't explain it any better I'm not really good with words. :) JAN
