We do a progressive lunch - we go to 3 or 4 homes - everyone enjoys feeling the holiday spirit in each others homes. One year we did a craft - a piece at a time. Another year we talked about goals.
I'm thinking this year that we might have a sing-a-long at one home, a scripture story at another, and a sentimental type story at the last.
We also have a gift exchange with a game - the one where you can
take a gift or open one - or last year we read a story and moved
the gift each time a particular word was said.

We're doing a Homemaking Conference on the Stake level, however, you may be able to use some of these ideas.
We're having all classes set up as round robins. When the sisters sign in at registration, they will recieve a certain name tag that corresponds with a class schedule. For example: the snowman will have 1,3,4,2 where as the santa will have 2,1,3,4.
The classes are:
1. Holly Jolly Traditions -all about making and keeping family traditions
2. Merry, Merry Gifts - quik gifts to make for family and friends and VT
3. Ornament Workshop - make and take ornament kits
4. Heavenly Service - Sisters will participate in service projects for the needy
There will be a luncheon and a play and a special VT message by the SRP.

Last year in our branch we made Christmas centerpieces. First we took a sturdy piece of cardboard and cut it into a round circle. Then we covered this with tinfoil. After that we glued a candle in the middle
Next we took pine needles and fir bows and some cedar pieces and glued them around the candle as thick as each person wanted them. After this we glued on any kind of cones or acorns that we had collected. They were beautiful centerpieces and they were inexpensive to make.
