I arranged to have an assigned (you tell them what to bring) desert potluck (you select 6 sisters, or more, depending on the size of your ward - we usually have 30+ at our homemaking meetings) who are reliable enough to count on at the last minute.

I got the video of the Women's Conference (at BYU), and chose a one of the addresses given at the Marriott Center (because those speeches are timed), and our RS Pres. spoke briefly on the topic to be shown.

We served desert first, and after everyone had a plate in their hands we asked them to be seated and they quietly ate desert while viewing the video.

Afterward the RS Pres. entertained questions from the sisters regarding the topic.

More desert was offered and there was till time for fellowshipping.

We selected music appropriate to the topic, and billed it (posters, invitations etc.) as "Girls Night Out".
