Note: this agenda can and should be adapted to each unit's HFPE meeting. This agenda was originally used for the previous "Homemaking" meeting format. It may include items that are no longer appropriate for the HFPE meeting format. It is only intended as a guide for doing your own planning agenda.

--Here are some things that I use to help organize my HFPE meetings.

Planning a HFPE Meeting

1. Theme - Does it have a purpose?

2. What will we be doing? Who?

a. Home management lesson
b. Visiting Teaching message -
c. Cooking class and/or Craft Class-Do they teach a skill? Do they relate to the theme?
d. "Relief from Society" on going class-
e. Finish it /Scrap booking area
f. FHE kit -

h. Money due date(no exceptions unless discussed prior to & no refunds)

Things to do before:

Plan HFPE with theme & purpose in mind
Announce in ward and relief society newsletters
Display
Sign-up sheets for activities and food help. Pass around and put on display table.
Posters or flyers made and delivered (How many(250)? Put names on YW & Primary and can put with roles, given when announced, or in a file system. Deliver to stake people. Have flyers for sacrament meeting.
Make calls for:
Reminders for flyer delivery
Newsletters
Food Assignments and reminders
Board members for assignments given and nursery
Decoration assignments
Pianist ask for prelude and decide song to sing
Chorister
Prayer
Call counselor and relate song, prayer, chorister, lesson, visiting teaching message, and have her check for more announcements
Make copies when necessary
Check on Family Home Evening Kit and Scrapbook page.
Collect money by assigned deadline
Purchase supplies when necessary.
Things to do the day of:
Set up - tables and chairs, decorations for rooms and food table, have kits ready, check on food, set hymn books out
Welcome everyone and direct them to right room
Counselor conducts- relate, song, prayer, chorister, lesson, visiting teaching message, give announcements, introduce new faces
Count people attending
Clean up
Record evaluation
Thank You's for those on the board, class teachers, food
assignments, & other.
