FEAST UPON THE WORD! CHALLENGE- SCHEDULE

This program is designed to help people throughout the church have faith in God and build individual testimonies of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Members are encouraged to live and to share their knowledge and testimonies of the restored gospel. This study program may be used as a personal study guide, or as a family program, depending on your circumstances.

The following are suggestions that you may wish to commit to while following a 40-day program:

1. Be out of bed no later than 6 am every morning. (maybe 7 am on Sat)

A special 1/2 hour each day to generate the Spirit:

     a. Humble, fervent, effective vocal prayer
     b. Pray for a burning spirit of testimony and love
     c. Meditate about family, scriptures, and callings
     d. Ponder the thought and scripture of the day
     e. Learn the Book of Mormon scripture of the day

3. Organize your day and be sure to include the following:

     a. Reading assignment
     c. Have meaningful family prayer
     d. Make a commitment not to say anything about anyone that is not positive, true, and uplifting
     e. Lift someone today--phone call, note, visit, etc.
     f. Physical exercise

4. Read the Book of Mormon each day

5. Attend a temple session, or prepare to obtain a Temple Recommend.

6. Be conscious of trying to obey every commandment.

7. Quality home and visiting teaching - 100 % each month.

8. Become a second miler in church callings.

9. Hold Family Home Evening.

10. Take your spouse on a date each week.
