Part XI) Install Kolab, the open source Groupware server
Introduction
Kolab appears to be best open source way to create a groupware server. It works well with the LAMP components, is open source and has a large community. It integrates (via a connector) to MS Outlook, Mozilla thunderbird/Lightning or Sunbird, Web Horde (web access), and Kontact (and Evolution) clients for Kubuntu/Ubuntu.
You can expand services, uses multiple servers or a single server.
Installation
You can completely install Kolab from the Synaptic Package Manager (or Adept) as the package kolabd. This really simplifies things.
Furthermore, Horde is installed automatically (after Kolab 2.2). The versions of Kolab after 2.2 are much, much easier to use than earlier versions.
Kolab uses many modules which are difficult to integrate individually.
In the next section, we will discuss Video editing for web presentations using KDENLive, Kino, and Cinelerra, the three leading non-linear video editors.
