Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah
- A somewhat blunt, less than elegant speaker, Tianan is a prominant Green sister, currently holding a Seat in the Hall of the Tower. Originally born of Tairen merchants, Tianan has keen financial sense, and has been appointed as supervisor of the Tower's many accounts in banks and money-lenders across the nations. Tianan words carry great weight in the Hall, for she has the Foretelling, although she has not had an episode in nigh a decade. Tianan is a close poltical ally of Perseinde Apeneos, as well as a good friend. It is a secret Sealed to Flame that Tianan was a wilder, and was trained by the now disbanded small group of channeling women gathered and trained by former initiates(1) Tianan is not alone in her origins, but it is unknown who among her sisters shares them. Tianan is a vocal critic of the Tower's recruitment policies, and early into her career, she was handed a series of fearsome penances. Tianan is known to be bonded to two warders, although the more canny of her sisters are aware of a third, whom she allows to go his own way.

Slender and delicately featured, and rather slight of stature, Tianan Tanches has the typical dark coloring of a woman from the Tairen Maule, with a smooth tawny complexion and sleek, glossy dark hair. Her eyes, however, are a verdant green, bright and appraising, and somewhat in contrast to her dark visage. Her skin is unlined and elastic, youthful seeming, the timeless features of an Aes Sedai. Her dress is simply cut, but extremely well made, all from palest watery green silk, with a high collar, and long sleeves, closed tight along the forearms by rows of tiny seed-pearls. The bodice is fasted up the side, held closed by small ties of green satin and pins tipped with more pearls. A dainty border of softly curling vines is embroidered along the edges of the bodice flap, and more edges the hems of the full skirts. At her ears hang twin pendants of jade, and coiled around one wrist is a bracelet of countless jade beads. Her only other jewelry is her Great Serpent ring. A narrow belt of supple kid leather is wound 'round her waist, hung with purse and dagger. Soft boots of dyed green leather cover her feet. A cape of extremely well-combed wool, forest green in color, tops off her ensemble.

- This group was recruited and trained by Geriana Neben and Irys Calaina, two former Aes Sedai who exiled from the Tower and sentenced to labor on distant farms for crimes also Sealed to the Flame. The pair escaped and joined in the hopes of forming a rival sisterhood. Upon discovery, they were both stilled, and their pupils stuffed into novice white.
