      jewelMiriana Sedai's Character Summary:
Miriana Tetsobar was raised in the Rahad, that seedy, violent district of Ebou Dar among a large, extended family of fishermen and sailors. Miriana was raised illiterate, but was apprenticed to the local Wise Woman as a girl. It turns to be that Miriana was a wilder, and became dangerously ill as she experienced her first, unconscious attempts at channeling, so much so that the Wise Woman whom she served, Osana Garzani, revealed herself as a failed Accepted and accompanied Miriana all the way to Tar Valon, and gained Miriana entrance in the Tower. Osana sought out one of her favored teachers, Rigan a'Vorhan, despite the general condescension from the Aes Sedai, and pleaded with Rigan Sedai to cast a protective wing over Miriana.

Miriana was enrolled as a novice, and soon learned to channel properly, and passed through her studies as a novice briskly, as she did in time as an Accepted, although she was often seen stalking the halls of the Tower with a bar of soap jutting from her mouth, punishment from the Mistress of Novices for her salty tongue. When she was raised, she chose Green, and early into her career, she was assigned to travel the capitals of the Borderlands as a courier for the Amyrlin Seat. She selected as her first warder the Andorman Thed Blackfield, who was a student in the Warder Academy. In fact, although they are closed-mouthed about it, the Green sisters suspect that Thed and Miriana were married in secret. In Shol Arbella, she encountered her second warder, Vinar Nirvallin, a Malkieri warrior. In time, she returned to Tar Valon and resumed residence with her two warders in the White Tower. Her period in Tar Valon came to an end when she was dispatched on an errand, Sealed to the Flame, to Cantorin in the Sea of Storms. There, in that balmy island-colony of the Aithan a'Miere, Miriana acquired her last warder, Riman din Amatar Black Star, the son of a high ranking Shipmistress.

In recent years, Miriana has resided in Illian, assigned to serve her mentor, Rigan a'Vorhan as she was to take the Council of Nine in hand to effect the Concordat of Illian. After the signing of that important treaty, Miriana remained as an informal advisor to the Tairen Ambassador, High Lord Alesean of House Daniago.

Miriana's demeanor and vocabulary reflect her upbringing, as she is prone to vitriolic outbursts of profanity, even if she is well regarded for her keen mind, particularly with respect to tactics and strategy. Indeed, it is believed that she is being groomed for a high position within the Green Ajah. Miriana has manifested a fine gift for working with weather, believed to have something to do with her time among the Sea Folk, and she is considered quite capable in the Power.

      jewelMiriana Sedai's Character Description:

Sultry, full-bodied, and not tall, Miriana Tetsobar has the olive complexion and black eyes of an Altaran. Her face is a study of classically proportioned features, high cheekbones, narrow patrician nose and large, lucid eyes which are animated with a crackling vitality. Her lips are soft and wine-colored, and may be compressed into a tight line of disapproval or open in a throaty laugh, with nary any warning between. Miriana's gleaming hair, black as pitch, is clipped short at her collar, a sleek style suited to the heat of Ebou Dar. Her trim, tailored riding habit is lush, emerald satin, with a deep, narrow neckline edged in frothy lace from Aerine, and embroidered in slanting lines of gold across the bodice. The skirts are a shade darker, banded about the hems with a decorative border of golden braid. Miriana wears a close fitting collar about her throat, from which her marriage knife would hang, and mid-sized golden hoops at her ears. Her Great Serpent ring glistens on her left hand. About her waist is a narrow belt of black leather, hung with purse and pouch, with a gilded poniard on each hip. Polished riding boots reveal themselves from beneath the narrow skirts, replete with small golden spurs fashioned into small heads of trout. A soft cloak of fine linen, green as summer grass, is tossed over her shoulders, clasped by a broach worked in the shape of a leaping swordfish, wrought in beaten gold.

      jewelMiriana Sedai's Gaidin:

        Thed Blackfield:
Thed is an unpretentious man with simple ways and manner, but with a complex mind and ferocious aspect in battle. He is believed to be wed to Miriana Sedai, although he is often dispatched to travel in advance of her. He is trained in the Way of the Star.
        Vinar Nirvallin:
A tall Malkieri, Vinar is a survivor of that lost nation, and was consumed with avenging its loss. Miriana took him as a warder as a way of realigning his thirst of justice into the wider war against the Shadow. Solemn and saturnine, Vinar bears himself with a code of honor that most philosophers would envy.
        Riman din Amatar Black Star:
Miriana's newest warder. A man of the Sea Folk, Riman is handsome and courtly. Riman bonded him as a warder as a means of allowing him to escape an unwanted marriage arranged by his clan. In return, he serves as Miriana's right hand. They are believed to be lovers, which one would assume would impact her beleived marriage to Thed Blackfield, although the natures of a sister's relationships with her gaidin are always opaque.

      jewelMiriana Sedai's Students and Partisans:

        Meiram Terovani & Chanai Terovani:
A pair of twin sisters, sixteen years of age, Meiram and Chanai are both novices of the White Tower, brought to the Tower by Miriana when she discovered them in Isarte's Hills in Arafel. Miriana has taken interest in their schooling. They are both blocked wilders, each unable to embrace the One Power outside the presence of the other.
        Ekatrine Sorison:
A rebellious, testy Accepted, the Murandian Ekatrine was born in Mindea and prides herself on her temper, so much so that the Mistress of Novices despairs of her ability to attain the necessary composure of an Aes Sedai. Nevertheless, Miriana has taken her on as a protégé and she serves as a secretary and traveling companion.
        Rasiya Alaquan:
Exquisitely beautiful, Rasiya Alaquan is a golden-haired Tarabonner Green, who currently serves as an Ambassador to the Queen of Cairhien, bolstering the presence Carmara Belantes, the aged White sister who currently advises the Sun Throne. She is a close friend of Miriana, and in their youth as newly raised sisters, were inseparable.
          • Rasiya Sedai's Description:
A slim, regal woman, Rasiya Alaquan is a pale complected, golden-blonde vision of Tarabonner beauty. Her long sun-colored hair is done up in a multitude of slim braids, the ends tipped in beads of ivory and peridots, gathered into a single fall down to the small of her back by a large peridot clip at the nape of her neck. Her silk gown is soft sea foam green, clinging possessively to her body at hip and bosom, worked in a precise embroidered border at her waist and hems, making out willows and reeds. The high neck is trimmed in fresh white lace from Cosille, with small flounces of the same at her cuffs. Rasiya wears a necklace of silver links on which are spaced three coin-sized emeralds, and her Great Serpent ring shines on her finger. Rasiya Sedai wears her formal shawl, worked in vines and leaves, with long silky fringe the color of spring grass.
        Patrezya Janar:
A valiant, formidable Saldaean sister, Patrezya Janar is well known for her exploits on both sides of the Blightborder, and is considered something of a paragon among the Green Ajah. Patrezya has served as Sitter in the Hall of the Tower, and has even served on the command council during the Grand Coalition during the Aiel War, when she was escorted by no fewer than five warders.
          • Patrezya Sedai's Description:
A hale, robust woman edging towards stout, Patrezya Janar is a senior Saldaean woman, with white hair and intense black eyes, tilted on either side of a sharp, almost protuberant nose. Her white hair, in such amazing contrast to her smooth Aes Sedai features, is worn in a dainty net of copper wires, adorned with small twinkling bits of citrine. Patrezya wears a dress in the High Maradon style, long-sleeved and with a high sharp collar, cut from shining forest green silk, embroidered heavily in copper and green thread into a pattern evocative of leaves and brambles on the bodice and sleeves. The full skirts are slashed with copper brocade, and a close fitting torque of twisted copper is worn high about her throat, suspending a pendant of carved jade in the hollow of her throat. Petrezya's eyes are alert and almost hostile, and her generous mouth seems on the verge of a scowl. Despite her seeming age, she moves with a languid grace, trailing a thick green velvet manteau behind her, the collar and arm slits lined with silver fox. Soft velveteen slippers cover her feet, and a large purse, balanced by her belt knife can be just glimpsed beneath the manteau as she moves.
