*Tezanya Vadanyar*

Character History
  • Full Name - Tezanya Isne Vadanyar Aes Sedai
  • Position - Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah, former Sitter for the Yellow Ajah
  • Character Summary:
Aged and respected, Tezanya Vadanyar was a figure of utmost dignity and respect when she was called upon to resign her seat in the Hall of the Tower as the inaugural act of the then Amyrlin, Elsbedhe Bodwell. In retaliation, Tezanya Sedai slapped Elsbedhe, who had long envied Tezanya's ability with the Power since their time together as novices, before the assembled Hall. The Amyrlin then summarily exiled Tezanya, and she remained away from Tar Valon long into the reign of Elsbedhe's successor. During her exile, Tezanya journeyed to her native Saldaea, and made herself into a national heroine for her selfless service at the Blightborder. Upon her return to Tar Valon, she promptly took up the stewardship of the Tower's hospices and dispensaries. The Aes Sedai, however, are still unclear about the rationale for her return from her retirement.
  • Affiliation - Yellow Ajah, White Tower
  • Character Description:
Tall and slim, with bold predatory eyes like bits of polished jade, and thick mane of iron gray hair, Tezanya Vadanyar has the smooth cheeks and ageless countenance of an Aes Sedai. Her green eyes are canted, bracketing a nose that is bold and jutting, all above a wide, generous mouth. Her cheekbones are sharp enough to cut glass. Her hair is worn up, and gathered into a dainty net of silver, and a diaphanous white scarf is wound around her head. Tezanya wears a finely made dress of deep saffron silk, with a high waist and flowing sleeves, a dress many decades from fashion. Thorny vines and thistles are worked upon her bodice in thread of silver, and in bands along her hems and down her sleeves. Matching slippers reveal themselves beneath her hems. Around her narrow throat hangs a worthy piece of jewelry, gold and topazes, with matching arrays her ears. On her finger gleams brightly her Great Serpent ring. Tezanya wears her formal shawl, richly worked in vines and leaves, displaying the white Flame of Tar Valon set amidst a disc of warm golden-yellow in the center of her back and trimmed with long, silky fringe the color of ripe summer wheat. Tezanya is stately and impressive, and seems a woman well used to getting her way.

Associates:

    • Kantrika Tochiman: Ebullient and boisterous, this tall Arafellin Accepted has been taken into Tezanya's closest circle of associates, and is now considered her prized pupil. Quite strong, and still not at her full potential, Kantrika is deemed a rising figure in the Tower. She favors the Yellow Ajah.
    • Joedine Merwin: Motherly and amiable, Joedine was once a chambermaid in the Royal Palace of Andor, and still has many vital contacts at Court, as well as in the royal country estates. Now a proud sister of the Gray Ajah, Joedine maintains lines of communication between herself and Tezanya, and their respective cliques.
    • Corasune Torsiev: A slender Kandori Yellow, Corsune is one of Tezanya's closest partisans, and is rumoured to have funnelled resources and correspondences to Tezanya during her lengthy exile, despite the edict of the Amyrlin. Corasune has been known to dabble in intrigues beyond the scope of the Yellow Ajah.
    • Cariyo Damijan: A recently installed Sitter for the Yellow in the Hall, Cariyo is Kandori by birth, and was originally brought to the Tower by Tezanya Sedai, o'er a century and a quater ago, a fact that seems well forgotten by many. It is believed that Cariyo remained in contact with Tezanya during her exile. Cariyo is foremost among the Yellows who would thwart the ambitions of Roisene Meriodred.

Gaidin:
  • Stevaenes Cordaevell: Tezanya's current warder, Stevaenes is recently bonded, and well under a third the age of his bond-holder. He is rumoured to be a disinherited uncle of Healle sur Cordaevell Riende, Queen of Cairhien. His expertise in Daes Dae'mar is a prized commodity.
