Welcome to the website devoted to the wedding plans for Michele Barber and Lucien Perry. We thought it would be a good way to keep our guests informed. Please check back periodically for updates.
(Sorry about that ad on the right... I'm too cheap to buy a real domain name)

Thirty-six days and counting! The rsvps cards are trickling in... it's like Christmas! (reminder: if you haven't sent your card i, please do so so we can figure out the seating chart).
The bridesmaid's weekend was a success last month... we found gorgeous Ralph Lauren silk gowns for my lovely girls.

My Bachelorette Party was a blast with Laura, Sims, Jaynab, Bonnie, Sherry, Shelby, Tiffany and Susan (oh, and Ben) in attendance. I have really great friends! (Notice there are no photos of me embarrassing myself)

We've officially crossed the 3 months-until-the-big-day mark. Things are progressing swimmingly. I had my first dress fitting with Robert and it looks fantastic. The invitations are nearly designed (which will be mailed next month). We had a successful meeting with our esteemed Dj Andre. Mom is doing a good job of making the arrangements with the florist. And we picked Nell's for the after pary. After taking off the month of June (and I guess most of July as well), Lucien and I are going to return to our dance lessons in the next week. With the Coney Island Mermaid Parade, we were way too busy last month.
We did decide on the Carribean for our honeymoon-- but not a cruise. Instead, we're going to do some island-hopping on our own around the Bahamas, Jamaica and maybe even go to Costa Rica or Grenada. We wanted to go to Cuba, but I was too nervous (I heard the fines are as high as $30, 000-- I think it's stupid).
Also, we decided that in lieu of wedding presents, we are requesting cash gifts. Our apartment is simply too small and we really don't need anything. We would like to start a fund to buy a house in the near future.
So everything is coming together. I don't update this site as much as I should because I've been busy doing the other design things-- programs, rsvp cards, etc. Once we get the invitations out, I'll make sure to put more stuff up here so it's a more useful resource.
Have you made your reservations yet?

Big News!!
1 March 2003
After three painful
months of trolling New York City for possible locations, we decided to go
with Metronome (see the Location
page for more details). Since it's an afternoon ceremony, we will probably
have an after-party that evening. More on that later.
Having decided on the space, we're also set on the date: 10/18/03.
We feel really happy and relieved to have that stressful step out of the way.
Now, onto the fun stuff!
Lucien and I have begun dance lessons at Fred Astaire Chelsea. We're having so much fun stepping on each other's toes. Also, I will begin working on the designs for my dress with New York designer Robert E. Knight (I'm designing his website as a barter!)
The big news is the new addition to our family: a little sister for Chairman! Click here for photos.
Thanks for checking in...
Michele

Things are progressing swimmingly. Lucien and I spent 8 hours on a bus last weekend going to and from a conference in Boston. It gave us the perfect opportunity to go over all that needs to be done in planning this thing (I was beginning to feel overwhelmed). I devised a calendar that breaks down everything that needs to be done between now and then, which is only 5 months away! For the out-of-towners, it may be a good idea to start making your travel arrangements. I've researched some decent hotels and based on people's responses, I will start blocking off rooms. Please contact me with your ideas.
Gotta go design the invitations....
Michele
