| Emily Annie Shaw was 10 years old in 1901 and was living with her mother Elizabeth and sister Hilda (born 1900) as boarders in the household of a Thomas Waterworth and his 3 children Rosalina, James and Maude. The address was Railway Houses, Brayton, Selby. On the 15th of January 1910 Emily married Walter Dobson at the Parish Church in Brayton. Walter was born in Selby in the summer of 1885 to his parents Alfred, born 1852 and Mary (nee Naylor) born 1856. In 1901 Walter was living with his parents at 56 Millgate, Selby, he was employed at the Port as a "Errand Lad". The following information is all from a birth certificate. Irene Dobson was born at 4, Junction Cottages, Brayton, Selby on the 18th of December 19ll, the father was Walter Dobson whose occupation was a general labourer. The mother was Emily Annie Dobson formerly Shaw. The birth was registered by Emily on the 2nd of February 1912. | Thomas Perry and Irene Dobson were married at Leeds in 1931. They had four children, Brian Thomas b. 1932, (my father), Maureen b. 1935, Cynthia b. 1938 and Michael b. 1944. Maureen's birth certificate in 1935 states that Thomas and Irene Perry were living at 275 Dewsbury Road, Leeds. In 1953 Thomas and Irene lived at 1 Acre Place, Middleton, Leeds 10. Thomas was employed by the city council as a crane driver. On the 9th of June 1957 Thomas died aged just 48, he is buried at the Catholic Cemetery (Killingbeck) Leeds. On the 17th of March 1984 his wife, Irene sadly passed away and was buried with him. May they Rest in Peace Forever. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Brian Thomas Perry was born at Leeds Maternity Hospital on the 30th of August 1932. On the 19th of December 1953 he married Sheila Broadbent at St. Philips RC church, Middleton, Leeds. Sheila was born on the 13th of March 1934, the daughter of Thomas and Eva Broadbent (nee Kirk) at Wakefield in Yorkshire. Maureen Perry was also born at the Maternity Hospital on the 23rd of March 1935. On the 27th of July 1963 she married Ronald Wood also at St. Philips. Cynthia Perry was born on the 16th of February 1938. She married Dennis McGann. Michael Perry was born on the 29th of October 1944. In 1968 he married Margeret Harrison on the 10th of February at St. Philips. |
