P1_School

Puzz woke the next morning to find Luna staring straight at her. �Wake up call!� Luna smiled excitedly. �Girl, your going to get in so much trouble. How did you get in here?� She asked. Luna giggled, �You know me Puzz, I�m an expert locksmith. I can pick any lock. Come on. It�s time for breakfast.� Puzz got up and got dressed to go downstairs. She sat next to Luna at the end Hufflepuff table and listen to Professor Dumbledore make the announcements of the day. After breakfast, Puzz and Luna walked to their first class. Herbology was the only class that Puzz and Luna actually had together. They went out behind green house and took a seat in the fold out chairs set outside. Cedric sat next to Puzz, and Tije sat next to Luna. The girls giggled and talked to each other in between conversation with the guys. After class, the four walked back to the school together. Cedric pulled Puzz back before going in the doors. �Can I talk to you for a second?� Puzz smiled. �Sure.� She turned to Luna. �I�ll see you during lunch ok.� Luna nodded and walked with Tije to her next class.
Cedric smiled sweetly. �Puzz, I wanted to know, could you help me with some of my Arithmancy homework? I�m falling behind in there.� Puzz thought it over for a second. �Sure. When?� �How bout tonight after dinner?� �Sure. I�ll see you then ok.� He smiled again and kissed her on the cheek before running down the hall to catch up with one of his friends from Ravenclaw. Puzz blushed. Someone behind Puzz clasped on to her shoulder. She turned to see that Rylore. �I know, I know.� She started before he could speak. �Get to class.� She finished. He shook his head. �You have a visitor.� Puzz was amazed. She had never lived anywhere besides Hogwarts with her aunt. How could she have a visitor?
Puzz followed Rylore down the corridor that led to the Headmaster�s office. She entered and took a seat. Across the desk sat Professor Dumbledore stroking his beard thoughtfully. As soon as Puzz sat down Dumbldore looked up to Rylore. �Professor Satori, will you fetch our guest from the headmistress�s office please?� Raylore nodded and shut the door behind him. Dumbldore seemed to want to prepare Puzz for something. �Anne, I want you to be ready for a bit of a shock alright.� Puzz nodded unknowingly. Rylore reentered with a short stubby man behind him. The man took a seat as Rylore left once more. Puzz was confused. Why on earth was the Minister Of Magic coming to see her? He looked to her and took his hand in hers. �My dear, I�m please to tell you that you have been accepted to go to Hesterate Academy this summer, instead of staying here. It�s something like a college for wizards and talented children such as yourself.�
Puzz�s heart jumped. �You mean, I wont have to stay here all summer? You mean that I will get to go somewhere besides just to Hogsmeade on feild trips? You mean that I get to leave this place for the summer? You can�t be serious. My aunt would never let me leave.� The Minister shook his head. �She did, so long as I treat you as if you were my own.� Puzz almost jumped out of her chair. �Oh! This is great news! Can I go tell my friends sir? Please?� Dumbledore nodded and Puzz was out of there like a bolt of lightning heading for the Great Hall. She couldn�t wait to rub it in Lydia�s face.
Lydia was the school snob. She had blond hair, blue eyes, and a Barbie's body. She thought that everyone was envious of her, but truly it was nothing more than loathing. Guys didn�t even like her, she just thought they did because no one wanted to break it to her how stupid they all really thought she was. Lydia had 2 friends in the whole world, and when it came down to it, they would run at the very sign of trouble with her. Brownnosers to the core, Lexi and Clea never took their heads out of her butt long enough to see what was going on around them. Both of them looked exactly like her, and never stopped talking. Their favorite subject to talk about was, who else, but Puzz.
As Puzz entered the Great Hall for lunch, she immediately searched out Luna, who was sitting at the end of the Ravenclaw table with Tije. �Luna! You will never believe what just happened to me.� �What? Is something wrong? What happened?� She asked quickly. �The Minister of Magic came to see me. He said that I could to go Hesterate Academy for the summer. Can you believe it? ME. The girl that lives at Hogwarts, leaving for the entire summer!� Puzz couldn�t contain her excitement any longer. Luna let out a giggle. �Oh my gosh Puzz, I am so jealous. I have been wanting to go there ever since I can remember. I am so happy for you. She had to tell the others. Pixie, and Pandora took a seat near Puzz and Luna. �Guess what.� Puzz blurted excitedly. �I�m going to get to leave for the summer. I am so excited.� Pixie let out a squeak. �Oh my gosh, Puzz. That is so great. I hope you have a good time.� Pandora added. �Yeah, it must be great to be able to finally leave this place after you�ve lived her all your life. I mean, I can understand coming here every year like we do, but you never get to leave do you. This must be really exciting for you.� �It is.� Puzz assured her.
Across the table by the Hufflepuffs, Lydia and her henchmen scowled. They stood up and walked over to Puzz and her friends. Lydia smiled a malicious grin, �Well, well, well. Is the little orphan finally getting to leave the school? I can�t imagine living here can you Clea. Really, all the rats and things. She must be part of their family or something. Don�t you just have to feel sorry for her?� Clea smiled and flipped her hair. �Oh yes, I could never live here all year, especially with her around. I feel worse for the rats than I do for her.� Puzz stood up. She could feel her face turning red out of anger. �At least I don�t scare them away when I open my mouth to say something with that horrible smell.� Luna stood up. �You girls are just jealous because you know that Puzz will make something of herself and you 3 will still be here. Probably married with 5 kids each, and a husband that does nothing more than cheat on you and drink butterbeer all the time.� Lexi giggled. �At least we will know who to look to when they�re cheating.� Lydia looked like she was about to hit Lexi. �Come on girls, we�re wasting our time here. This isn�t over Puzz. I�ll see you come quidditch time.� Lydia flipped her hair and walked away with Clea and Lexi following like they were hooked on strings.
Puzz and Luna both sat back down. �Thanks Luna. I really appreciated what you did back there.� �What are friends for?� She asked with a smile. Puzz smiled happily. �Well, I don�t really know, but I�m betting you do, so I�ll just sit back and let you do your job. If you ever need anything, I owe you a few.� Luna giggled. �You owe me more than a few girl.� Before they could say much more Cedric came and sat next to Puzz. �Hey� He smiled that smile of his. Puzz melted. �Hey.� �Puzz, I was um...� He stuttered, �I was wondering if....� He tried one more time, �Puzz, would you go out with me?� He finished the sentence faster than he had started. Puzz knew what he had meant, but wanted to make sure that he was leveling with her, so she asked, �Sure. Where to?� Cedric looked at her like she was crazy. �I didn�t mean go out like......go out....just like....to um go out like a ....a.....date.� Puzz smiled surely. �I would love to Cedric.� She kissed him on the cheek just as they were released to go to their next class. Things were looking up for her.
