Peros is a four bedroomed, traditionally built granite and cob Breton farmhouse with a slate roof. Before the revolution, it was owned by a nearby chateau, which is now a convent and children�s home. It has been remodelled and renovated several times over the subsequent years.
Parts of the original structure remain, the most obvious being the stone mullioned window in the kitchen. In our renovation we have retained as many of the original features as possible. The walls of the ground floor retain their original lime plaster which we continue to limewash. Also there are open beams on the ground floor and exposed beams on the first floor. The steep "millers" staircase has been replaced with a modern one, with a child gate at the top.
