55 gallon 5 clown loaches 8-ish cardinal tetras who-knows-how-many rosy barbs. (thick vegetation has allowed a lot of babies to survive with no help from me) 2 Amano shrimp This is one of my favorite tanks; it's in the dining room and I enjoy their antics while eating dinner.

130 gallon
This tank required both a leap of faith, and redecorating the living room. Who needs a couch? :-)
Okay, I kept the couch, but moved it to another wall. Tank is nicely viewed whether sitting there, or in recliners, or in the dining room. In May 2000, I changed out one of the light strips for a double 30 watt strip. I was very happy with improved lighting of the tank, and soon after got another one for the other side. 2 angels 1 tinfoil barb (Barbus schwanefeldi) 1 silver dollar (Metynnis argenteus) 3 green Severums 2 SAEs 3 Corydoras paleatus 6 other cories, name is escaping me at the moment This doesn't sound like much, but they fill the tank with their activity. The tinfoil and the silver dollar were "gifts"; they are constant companions and keep the tank busy, sometimes to the annoyance of the others. Started: March 1999 |
