Here are just a few of my favourite places.
One of my earliest memories of going on holiday was when as a child
myself and my brother used to sleep in the back of the estate car
surrounded by all the suitcases and bags.
Setting off for Norfolk in the early hours of the morning staying
awake for as long as we could to watch the rabbits scurry
across moonlit country lanes.
We stayed on many occasions at a bed and breakfast in
Wells-Next-To-The-Sea owned by a lovelly couple named
Mr and Mrs Groom.
Some of my happiest holidays have been spent there
and at Blakeney feeding the ducks or digging massive holes
to bury dad in on Hunstanton, and Brancaster beaches.
Swimming at Cromer playing cricket or just having a picnic on the top field.
The last time i went back to Norfolk was about 17 years ago when
Kee was18months old and i was pregnant with Tammy.
But the memories are as clear today as though it was just yesterday.

The Trough Of Bowland is one of mine and my childrens
favourite places to go for a picnic and paddle.
As a child and with my children i have enjoyed many campfire breakfasts
and picnics by the side of the slow moving stream that runs alongside
the moorland pass.
Sometimes spending all day there or just passing through into Lancaster
or onto Blackpool.
The Trough is also the route the Pendle Witches took on thier way to trial
at Lancaster Castle. You can see more about the Pendle Witches
on my Myths and Legends page.
