Deuteronomy 32:10-12
”He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings taking them up, carrying them on its wings, So the Lord alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him.”

O Israel He found you in a desert land in the land of Egypt in the land of bondage because of your sins. He, God tried to encircle you and keep you under His protection but you still reject Him.

Even as He, God sent Moses unto you with His commandments ..... He has sent His Son to you with a new commandment.

Even as a father looks upon his children today as “the apple of His eye” ..... so God sees Israel as a loving precious people in need of His protection.

The eagle is also found mainly in the desert or wilderness places .... but ..... even as an eagle showers affection, protection, nourishment and knowledge to its young ..... so God would wish to do to you His chosen people also.

God is a jealous God and will not share His people with any other pagan or man made idols whether they be made by hand or by man’s fleshly lusts, greed, covetousness, or anything else we would put before the worship of Him.

Psalm 17:8
“Keep me as the apple of Your eye, Hide me under the shadow of Your wings.”

Here David prays that God would look favorably on him and that God as his heavenly Father would keep in the shadow of His wings ..... under His protection. He wishes God to protect him from his enemies ..... both those earthly and those spiritually.

Psalm 36:7
“How precious is your loving kindness O God! Therefore the children of men put their truth under the shadow of your wings.”

How precious is your love, goodness, and kindness, to the righteous ..... the God-Right man, woman, or child who puts their total trust in You! ..... For Your protection is seen and felt even in the shadow of your wings ..... even in the nearness of Your presence.

verses 8,9 goes onto claim that those who are righteous ..... God-right are abundantly satisfied with the “fullness of Your house” and You give them to drink from the river of Your pleasure and whoever drinks of this water drinks unto Everlasting Life ..... Your Son, Jesus, the Messiah became this Living Water and in and thru Him we see Your light. Jesus said: “I am the light of the world” and because of this light ..... no man, woman, child need walk in darkness.

Psalm 61:4
“I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.”

In this Psalm we have the assurance of God’s everlasting protection ..... if ..... we only put our total Faith and Trust in God. The psalmist is showing a strong determination to seek to live holy as God would have him, you, and me live ..... we must live in righteousness ..... God-rightness. We must commit our ways to His ways and our lives to His way for our lives.

John 14:6
says: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

Then we can say with the psalmist in:
Psalm 63:7
“Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.”

Because God has strengthened him when he was weak, Because God Helped him overcome ..... Because God has kept him in the shadow of His wings ..... the psalmist says ..... because of all this he is able to rejoice.

Psalm 91:4
“He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings You shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”

The softness and the insulating features of His feathers and the added refuge given by His wings figuratively speaking will protect you from anything Satan may thrust at you His armor will complete the protection ..... the total covering of His people ..... those who believe in His name.

Ephesians 6:11,13
“Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all stand.”

1 Samuel 17:47
“Then all this assembly (Israel) shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you (your enemies) into your hands.”

The Word of God says to put on the whole armor of God that you may withstand the craftiness, the deceitful, cunning ways he, Satan uses to keep us His people from accepting Jesus! God’s Son, the Messiah ..... He who died on the cross of Calvary for your sins and mine ..... Hebrew or Greek ..... Jew or Gentile.

John 3:16,17
“For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him (JESUS) should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world , but, that the world through Him (Jesus) might be saved.”

What part of the world are you not part of?

The Word of God ..... the BIBLE ..... says we must put on the whole armor of God as protection ..... then to stand firm ..... firm in what you say ..... firm in the Word as was told in Samuel’s time ..... that the battle is the Lord’s ..... to stand firm in knowing that His Word is truth ..... to stand firm in our Faith believing.

Isaiah 31:5
“Like birds flying about, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; Passing over, He will preserve it.

Even as in the first Feast of the Passover when Israel was to paint the doorposts of their houses ..... even so we must paint the doorposts of our heart with the blood shed by Jesus the Son of God, the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. By accepting this redemption price ..... His blood for our sin ..... then we will no longer have to die in sin ..... having already died to sin under the baptism of His blood shed on the Cross. By accepting the baptism of His blood shed on Calvary we have now received Everlasting Life.

Malachi 4:2
“But to you who fear My name, The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings, and you shall go out and grow fat like stall fed calves.”

To you who fear My name ..... God ..... the Sun of Righteousness ..... the Light of God-Rightness ..... light of My Glory ..... “the Light of the world” ..... My Son, JESUS ..... He will arise with healing ..... SALVATION ..... DELIVERANCE ..... HEALING FROM ..... SICKNESS ..... BOTH ..... PHYSICAL ..... AND ..... SPIRITUAL in His wings.

Isaiah 53:5
In describing the afflictions that the Messiah would suffer it says: “and by His stripes we were healed ..... By His suffering we obtained total healing ..... total SALVATION.

As we give our lives to Him in totality He then gives His grace ..... His Salvation to us. We can not give part of ourselves anything that would obstruct His light from shining in and thru us is darkness and where there is light there can be no darkness ..... no sin ..... in Revelations it says to you the church that if you are neither hot nor cold ..... lukewarm ..... then He will spew (Vomit) you from out of His mouth.

Half way measures with God will not be accepted.

Matthew 23:37
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!”

Christ, God’s Son is lamenting! He is in deep sorrow over the fact that His chosen people have rejected Him ..... as the Messiah. He paints a word picture of Himself being compared to a mother hen and how she would try and take her chicks under her wing to protect them from the dangers that would come against them but they would put her on ignore ..... the were rebellious wanting to do their own thing ..... the same thing we do today to Christ when we fail to accept Him as the Son of the Living God ..... when we fail to accept Him as our Savior our Deliverer.

DO NOT REJECT HIM NO MORE ..... MAKE HIM THE MESSIAH ..... THE SAVIOR OF YOUR LIFE TODAY!

2Chronicles 7:14
“If My people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
