| Scully and Skinner arrive at her apartment. She proceeds inside, while Skinner waits patiently at the doorway. Then, William comes out of his room crying. He rubs his eyes with one hand and carries a battered teddy bear in the other. Scully runs up to him and puts her hands gently on his shoulders. Scully Sweetie, what is it? William I woke up cuz I had a bad dweam, an I wen' to your room, an you were gone! Scully Oh, I'm so sorry, Will. (hug, release) I have to go to work for a little while now, but I'll be home soon, okay? William Ok Mommy. (he notices how red her eyes are from crying) Mommy, what's wrong? After she calls the baby-sitter, she kisses her son on the forehead and says goodbye. Scully Now you be good for the baby-sitter, okay, Will? He nodded with a mouth full of processed sugar. He resumed watching Dragon Ball Z or Sailor Moon or whatever it is that little kids will be into in 5 years. Scully places her hand on the doorknob and takes one last look at her precious angel before she closes it. Scully Sorry I took so long, sir. Skinner It's alright...
