Hemant Ramtirth Goswami It is difficult to say that whether Hemant Goswami is better known as a Social Activist, a Management Trainer or a creative person & a Writer. Hemant specialises so well in all the fields that people who know him because of one activity take some time to accept that he is equally well absorbed in other fields too. To say the least Hemant Goswami is a man of boundless energies and multiple talents. Hemant was born on July 1, 1971 at Delhi to Mr. B.M. Goswami who was an Indian Air Force officer (Wing Commander) and Mrs. J.K. Goswami, a teacher. Descending from the lineage of the great Indian poet "Goswami Tulsi Das" (1532-1623) and having one of the greatest religious preachers of modern times, Swami Rama Tirtha, in the form of his great-grandfather, certainly makes a difference. Since his school days Hemant Goswami is actively involved in social welfare activities and is active member, office bearer and founder member of many social and philanthropic associations. By profession he is a Management Trainer & Consultant, Industrial Psychologist, Writer and N.V.C. expert. But the reformer in him forces him to spend a sizeable chunk of his time on social activities and public welfare works. Hemant is presently devoting much of his time to an N.G.O. "Burning Brain Society" and is actively involved with the young people. His crusade against “Tobacco” and fight against the biggest tobacco MNC’s is well known and appreciated. His innovative approach to social evils and problems has many followers and appreciators. Hemant is also working to bring out a magazine for the school children. He believes that if the coming generation can be shaped positively and motivated to adopt the right values; we can start a chain reaction and control the aberrations of the society. He is also an active member of Amnesty International & the chairperson of "Society for Prevention of Crime and Corruption," an N.G.O. founded in 1995, with an objective to spread awareness for fighting corruption and preventing crime. The society is putting a brave face to corruption and is supported by thousands of members spread all over the country. Hemant Goswami is also the author of "Towards a Perfect Democracy - Alternatives", authored at an age of 28 Years. This book was released in November 1999 and has the distinction of being the first Indian on-line Internet book. "Towards a Perfect Democracy - Alternatives" as the name suggests is a book about possibilities, it do ignites the thought process of all those people who look forward to the progress of mankind and all other life forms, are socially aware, active and strongly feel that certain reforms in the present style of Governance are urgently required. This is the reason why this book has been highly appreciated by masses and the classes. The acceptability and popularity of the book is evident by the fact that over 4, 05,000 e-copies of the book have been made till August 15, 2004. This makes the book one of the highest circulated on-line Internet book. Another book related to his professional field, titled, "How to be Successful in Interviews & Get a Job" also gained the distinction of being one of the best selling books in the category. Hemant Goswami's other activities and interests are stretched much beyond his professional interests. It is no accident that he is also known as an accomplished artist, painter and designer with a number of recognition and prizes. His interest in Philosophy, Psychiatry, Electronics, A. I., Law & Jurisprudence may surprise some but those who know him close enough are aware and appreciative of this man with many faces.
