And so it comes to pass that Peppy finds himself in a sitatuon quite unfitting to his demeanor - as a father. As if for the first time realizing that he's not quite "mate material", he's been trying and trying to be better. Stronger. Tougher. More like the Growlithe he's supposed to be.
But it's not so hard for a pokemon trained half his life. It's hard enough to find food for himself, hard to find food for Aurora... especially since she's eating for five.
