Aurora

Girls find Peppy irresistable. He's fluffy, cheerful, and extremely adorable. They can't get enough
of the fuzzy little Growlithe.
But what happens
When the girl being considered
Is a Growlithe herself?

It's been half a year since Peppy was released from his pokeball for the last time, and he's finally adjusted to life as a wild pokemon. No burgers, no scritches, no constant attention - but it's also got its ups and its down. Undoubtedly, you've read the logs with Aurora in them. She's got her own home, she's got a brain, and she's got a best friend in Peppy. But are the two in love, or is it only friendship? The logs on this page will let you know.

Aurora! Burgers! Mmm.

These logs take place from July 2002 to November 2002.

Gifts: Aurora gives Peppy something! What could it be? A kiss on the cheek? A slap in the face? All the burgers he can eat? Check it out!

We?: Peppy meets Jameka on a dark and stormy night, and she pretty much bursts his eardrums.

There's been a lot going on in Peppy's life. He's got his little sidequests - finding burger trees, making friends, and just surviving day to day. As has likely become obvious by now, however, the pup's got one big goal in mind, and it involves not only himself but Aurora as well. But what about her? Is Peppy even ready for this? Do the two really belong?

Lonely No Longer: A storm brings a dripping wet Peppy to Aurora's den, and the two tell each other things that will change their lives forever.

Naiad and the Ekans: Jameka's shrieking loudly and Peppy's in a daze. Poor, poor Naiad.

Berries, Parents, and Mud: A cute little Peppy-Aurora log that furthers the relationship of the two. Aww!

Streetwind later stopped by the den while Peppy was out: you can read the log right here. What it basically involves in another look at this whole mate thing - is this the right choice for Aurora? She's giving up her freedom - something that should be completely dear for her. And what for? So she can care for hungry, attention-hogging little pups? She thinks about what Streetwind had to say for a week - and Peppy notices she's been acting strangely.

Wild Spirit: Aurora decides on what road she will take for her life - that of the free spirited rugged pokemon, or that of the caring mother with the one she loves.

At First Sight: It's a rainy day (again - is there warning of a flood on the island?), and the two try to recall when they first met as best as they can.

The Eternal Fire: Special thanks to Streetwind for letting me link this log! Streetwind finds herself in a near death situation, and it's up to Aurora and Peppy to somehow bring her out of her condition.

Questions: A rather amusing log between Peppy and Naiad that features talk about thousands of puppies, eating your own tail, and Growlithes living four hundred years. ... Don't ask, just read.

Gratitude: Sly's motorcycle breaks down in the middle of a rainstorm, and who should the Rocket meet but Peppy? Check out this great RP featuring one of the MUSH's top RPers.

Find and Fight - Is this a Victory?: Peppy on his first successful hunt. ... Though perhaps it's not quite as wonderful a victory as Peppy himself might think...

A Place to Call Home: Route 7. Food is comparatively scarce, competition is heavy, ,and there's always the threat of humans and their vehicles, and nary a day goes by when a few travelers don't walk the path. Is this really where Aurora and Peppy want to bring up their pups?

The First Steps: The decision to head for Assasi has been made, and the two start off. Neither one knows the way: but that didn't stop them in the middle of the winter, and it won't stop them now.

Grayson and Egg Sandwiches: Dude, it's... Grayson. It's hard to tell whether Peppy gets along extremely well or extremely poorly with Rockets. It really is.

Rain on My Parade: Oh, boy. It's Naiad again, and you know what that means. Weird questions. Weirder answers.

Pink, Small, and As Loud As Jameka: Babies! ... Nope, not Peppy's - the Growlithe and some other assorted pokemon find an abandoned human baby one stormy night...

Life in the Wild: Peppy bumps into Soki, and receives some valuable tips from the wise Sandslash - plus a free Rattata! Go Peppy!

Return of the Rix: One foggy night, two pokemon who haven't seen each other in months cross paths...

Not Afraid: Peppy and Aurora on the road - a good feel of their relationship at this point.

Finally There: Woot! Undoubtedly thanks to Aurora (Peppy's got that whole can't-get-out-of-a-paper-bag thing), the two finally make it to Assisi Farm.

Understanding: Understanding what? Pregnancy. Oo. Naiad finds Peppy down near the farm, and the two talk about eggs. Funny, as usual.

Names: Rainy day in the farm. Bringing home a Rattata (go Peppy!), the two discuss names for the puppies.

Burgers and Hot Dogs: Peppy meets October one October (snicker) night. Pretty funny RP!

More Names! Inspirational naming. Rain keeps Peppy inside one day, so Aurora and him spend the afternoon talking.

Waul!: Katerwauls. And Sly. Tremble. Much.

What is Strength?: Peppy's self-esteem is virtually nonexistant. After his adventure with the Katerwauls, the Growlithe realizes just how weak he is, how unable he would be to protect her - and how much she means to him. A very, very lovely RP.

Life: How funny it is. Right after poor Peppy's struggles to overcome his weakness, he meets up with Lee - ever the pessimist, with her views on life that don't quite match Peppy's. A very interesting log, noting the Growlithe's reactions to what Lee has to say.

The Birth: The day you've undoubtedly waited for. After long months of pregnancy, Aurora finally gives birth to five healthy puppies.

A note: This log and the following two are not very accurate referring to a Growlithe's actual state. They tend to be far, far more helpless at this stage, something we represented very poorly. After a little more research, Aurora and I began to RP the pups a little more realistically. Sorry about the inaccuracy!

When They're Gone: A couple days after the birth. The puppies - born blind and deaf, like all Growlithes are - are fast asleep, giving Peppy and Aurora a little time to talk.

All it's Cracked Up to Be: A week and a half after the event, and the two parents are starting to get stressed out. The puppies are maturing normally - one of them is even up and about.

Next section: Briska: In four months, Peppy's family has changed from just himself to six other Growlithes. How's he going to hold up?

More Peppy logs!
