"Goodbye, My Sydney Bean, My Buddy Boy"
While Sydney may be gone physically from our lives, he lives on in the great memories we built, in our hearts and forever in our soul. Here is a poem that reflects very well on how I view the loss of a loved one, especially a loyal and loving companion such as Sydney & Shayla. I'm not sure who wrote this poem, but I heard it after my grandmother passed away and I have always loved it since. I will be writing a poem myself in the near future that will signify my love for Sydney and Shayla.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints in the snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grains,
I am the gentle autumn rains.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I did not die.
