El Pico de Orizaba and San Blas

So we decided to drive down to Mexico and climb El Pico de Orizaba. It is 18,800 feet high. This is the hut you drive up to at 14,000 feet. From here we climbed up the mountain. This was such a luxury to have up there.

View of the Peak from the hut.

How this dog got up there I'll never know. It was so skinny, we fed it but it was too wild to bring down in the truck.

El Pico de Orizaba. It doesn't look that scary from this picture but it got up to a 45 degree angle and was sheer ice.

Andrew and Kristin with our camp at 16,000 feet. I got altitude sickness ( just a little bit) and woke up with a heavy feeling in my lungs but after walking around I felt good enough to attempt a summit.

Liam after his solo summit. He climbed it before Andrew and I all by himself.
